Just enter your information at Google Voice. They will do the rest.
Porting out automatically does a cancel as well.
Got it. Thanks!

I enrolled in this BYOD plan on March 3, 2019. Anybody know if I can do Apple's new iPhone upgrade program with this plan?

Thank you.

They are now entering it as $25 after $5 autopay credit and $10 BYOD credit ($40 before these credits) .

I recently added a line using the IMEI for a phone that is shipping but not yet in my physical possession. Is there any way to get the Fandango credit for that line now?

It was $30 less $5 credit up to now.
Now it is $40 less $5 credit and $10 credit.

Those do both net out to $25.

Probably not. Sprint Rewards app sends a text message with a code to your phone number when you log in. Not sure if there is any way around that.

Does below procedure still work or should I just do the T-Mobile Ultramobile $10 port out? Any other suggestions? My plan has 2 lines and expires 9/30.

Thanks in Advance! Appreciate all inputs and comments here.

(Update 8/22/2019. Some people have had problems with the Retention rep not actually entering the cancel. As a result, Recovery cannot see it and cannot convert the line to KickStart.

Remember to cancel the cancel if you cannot determine whether it is pending or not. You can still convert free plan lines to kickstart by porting them out to a non-Sprint carrier and porting them back in.

==============================================================]
Original text:

Here are the steps to convert a free plan line to Kickstart without needing to port out.:

Please note the steps below are needed only to avoid having to port out. If porting out sounds easier to you, just do that (port out to a non-Sprint carrier). Then port back in to add them back as KickStart lines.

(1) Call Retentions at 844-382-3317 and cancel effective on some FUTURE date at least a week or two out that the rep will suggest to give you enough time to port out. It is probably best for it to be the end of your plan billing period month. Limit your conversation with them to cancelling and do not ask their advice or attempt to pre-clear later steps with them (they will not do that). The cancellation must be unconditional and entered into the system and not be an arrangement for a cancellation to be entered later. Do NOT attempt to Cancel via Chat or by calling other departments.

(2) Then wait a couple of days and call Recovery at the number shown at https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...print.html and ask if they will give you KickStart. As of the time this is written, they will. (You may get an email with a link to that site but you can call even if you do not get an email). Note there is NO CREDIT for KickStart any more (only for regular price plans). You are doing it just to save the hassle of porting out and in.

(3) If things somehow break down, just port out to a non-Sprint-related carrier before the future dated cancel takes effect and port back in to get kickstart.

OR another completely different way is just add a KickStart line to your account with a different number for now. Then shuffle numbers around later.

It still works subject to the notes in it. I just updated it right now so please reread it.

Either way is fine.

Right they could drop the credits, but hopefully only for new subscribers. I *hope* that is all they have in mind. Hopefully they are just setting themselves up to be able to do that post-merger for new subscribers.

Worst case they could claim the credits are a temporary promotion that can be discontinued on any change of phone or whatever I suppose.

Also people who buy in Store at Sprint stores are not getting the $10 credit according to reports. I suppose they are not ordinarily BYOD in that case.

Do we have confirmation about whether there is a difference in how the credits show up for lines started over the phone instead of online?

Is the best way currently to jump from BYOD (mine expires 9/30) to Kickstart $25 plan, to transfer to TMo just as we originally did it with getting another BYOD line, or using Google Voice?

I've read back quite a few pages, and I'm still unsure.
