Thanks! I chatted online with Sprint and the agent said Sprint will prorate the last month. She made a note in my account to make sure the prorate will happen.
I believe the rep is wrong but at least you have chat. If you port out by the end of your current bill cycle your next statement will be $0. If you go into next bill cycle your next statement will be $60+ and you will need to call back to get prorated and may be ymmv.

11/30. I know they won't charge for any service, but I remember they charged me the full taxes and surcharges for both the partial month when I signed up as well as the first month.

For example, if I signed up 10/20 and my cycle started 10/25, they charged all the taxes and surcharges for 10/20-10/24 and then again for 10/25-11/24.

Anyway, thank you for your input.
I'm surprised you got charged full surcharges and taxes for both partial month and first month. So you are saying your bill was about $6 with 1 line then jumped to about $18 for 2 lines then back to $12 for 2 lines.
I never experienced that and have added about 8 lines during cycle over past 2+ years and never got charged double.
Well that is Sprint for you I guess we never know for sure.

I have 4 lines now under the free plan. I started with 1 line, and added 1 line each time in next few months. Every time Sprint charged me full surcharges and taxes for first partial months. I am not sure if this has anything to do with state law, but I am in NJ.

Also, I noticed that the the surcharges and taxes for 4 lines increased in my last bill compared to last month. Whereas my surcharges and taxes went down this month for xfinity mobile lines. Not sure what's going on!

Just wanted to provide a data point. My free unlimited Sprint plan was ending soon so I switched to Mint on the 28th. Sprint calls me today, made a big deal out of it being it Black Friday and offers me $35 Kickstart and a $100 credit to my account if I switch back. They would not give me $25 Kickstart which is what I really wanted. Oh well, I'm back with Sprint for at least 3 months. Just giving you guys a heads up and hopefully you guys receive something similar.

So with 1 line your bill was for example $5(surcharges+tax) and when you added 1 line next bill was $15 for 2 lines instead of just $10 for 2 lines.
Also I believe everybody's Sprint bill went up this month because Sprint raised the regulatory fee(a sprint surcharge) from $0.40 to $0.99 per line and may have affected some tax too.

No. Say, I added 2nd line in the last week of the 2nd month billing cycle, my 2nd month's bill was $10.

That explains the increase. Thanks

I guess I was too optimistic thinking $15 might come back for Black Friday.

Update on my $200 card: Added line on free 1 year BYOD plan in August. 3 months passed without any change in status. Inquired with customer service to no avail, escalated to executive department. They said my account was not targeted and gave me a small service credit for the issue. I accepted it. About a week after, saw the change in status of my rebate to valid and received my $200 last week!

Did anyone try upgrading their device after 120 days and still keep the One year free promotion?
I'm planning to flex lease LG G8x and keep the promotion.

The offers all are quoted based on service credits which you would not be able to apply on the Free plan, so you would not get the benefit of the offer.

Also you would run into a brick wall when the free plan ends in a few months. The lease could not be transferred to anything except the over-priced full-cost no-discount paid continuation plan.

If that's the only number you had on the ting account, porting out should automatically cancel that account.

Is there a place on the website that I can check that to confirm ? On the App, it shows an estimated bill for the next billing cycle, so that makes me feel that the account is still active.
