How long is the BestBuy $25/month plan valid for? Sprint switched me to the Basic unlimited plan (since January). How can I switch to the kickstarter plan, get the $300 card and retain my number?
4/9 is now being mentioned as the end date by some but it still could be 4/2 or some other date.

Some people think the Best Buy version may not qualify for the $300.

The $300 promo requires a new number ported in from a competitor but you can get around that with Google Voice forwarding.

what a great time for S to re launch the $15 KS !!
Well if you get one more major regulatory delay (and that could happen), that might spur them.....

Regarding LuckAnt's post, I called to cancel one line (expiring end of March) and was told I could extend for 1 year and keep the same deal being charged $5.32 total for another year. He sent an email showing the same thing for old and new plan though it doesn't show the end date. I do not, however, see a new expiration date in my account so far. I called this morning.
Are there monthly credits involved?

Could you possible cut and paste the text of the email here?

Thanks!

Unfortunately it does not show prices in the email but I do not doubt you got a special retention offer. People can call and see if they can get the same offer. It is not going to happen by default unless people call.

Personally I would call Retentions directly at 844-382-3317 for their expertise rather than calling general support numbers (which very often get things mixed up).

I called in, and got the retention offer on both my lines. Now the agent could not see how long they are extending it for, but he said that it would be for at least 3 months. Agent said to keep an eye on the bill and that may show when the pricing would change.

What's the purpose of killing your number?
Some people are content to let it die and get another one, which may qualify better for new promos.

They may not want to pay for something they have no need to keep, that only limits the promos they can sign up for.

Some of us have our real numbers on Google Voice and do not care what the number is on the phone.

(Off topic, I wonder if this is a clue that the merger will slip to at least July 1).
I just called retentions to try it. The rep offered me only the third line free deal.
If this is a covid relief program it may just be rolling out now and sparsely.
I will try again tomorrow.

Oh that's right - it could be part of Covid relief. Perhaps it could even be by area.

Question: my Sprint free year plan's monthly billing ends on the 16th of each month. My free plan shows an expiration date of 3/31.

Will I get billed the full amount starting 4/1, or will it be free until 4/16? Thanks much!

People have posted that they get free to 4/16 in practice (adjusted for your dates).

However there is a lot of confusion. Many Sprint reps and others say to get off by 3/31 (in your case) to be safe in case they change their practice.

So maybe call Retentions at 844-382-3317 and see what they say and if it is favorable ask them to note your account to be safe.

Also ask them if you can have your free plan extended x months. Some people are getting that (see recent posts or just call and ask).

Great question. But see the problem is for us to answer that question we need a bit more details. Like for example of no one has any clue to what iPhone you have. You've got to provide more details if you need help from folks here

Yes it is very much easier to unlock while still a Sprint customer and iphone(6 and newer) locked to sprint will not work on T-Mobile until it is unlocked either officially or thru 3rd party solutions. This assumes phone is eligible for unlock(paid off and 50 days of service)
