Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Well, ported out 4 lines to metro PCS. Took advantage of the Moto g stylus for $20 per, and an iPhone 7 for $29.
There is a $15 activation fee per line.
Total monthly fee going forward is $100 including tax.
I did not want to wait until the cut off 6/30 2020. MetroPCS is also part of T-Mobile and I was thinking the port in may not be considered a competitor soon.
Funny thing is, this last year with the data sharing on T-Mobile, Sprint has been better than ever. I will miss it. Fare thee well Slicksters

MetroPCS is different in that all transactions are done in store and it depends on corporate or franchise.
If you choose a free phone on metro PCS you pay for 4 lines $100 plus $15 per phone for activation. Flat. After that it's a flat $100 per month.
A dealer or franchise store will have extra fees. For one they charge sales tax on the phone. They will also add in insurance which you can cancel.

Speaking of TMobile, I got an SMS text this week that Sprint has joined TMobile. "You now have access to expanded coverage on the TMobile network!

I haven't noticed a difference, yet there is a strong TMO tower two blocks away. I have a couple phones left with TMO, it is full bars all the time indoors and outdoor. I guess they might have opened a couple of bands for Sprint customers, but not the whole thing? So it's still Sprint << TMobile I guess

Yeah they are actual sending that text to everyone in stages and the final word on it after much discussion on reddit is that it does not mean anything specific for the people who receive it really.

S20 users in particular have been moved to the TMobile side. Many are complaining about worse service and loss of band 41,

Also on June 15, 1 million other Sprint users will be moved to the TMobile side.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...customers/

It is far from the case that TMobile is better for everybody and many of those who have been moved to it are pulling out all the stops to get back to having band 41.

My place here is an example. TMobile speeds are far inferior to what I get/got on Sprint (I have an S20 and it gets much lower speeds after being moved to TMobile). But there is a way to block the TMobile bands and force it back to Sprint bands.

But definitely there are locations (like maybe yours) where TMobile is great and Sprint is not.

TMobile's plan is to gradually shut down Sprint's B41 to make room for its own band 41 LTE and 5G. Full network integration may take years though.

Any chance, after 6/15, Sprint->TMO customers will get E-Sim support?

They are saying no for now.

Right now, Sprint users who have been moved to the TMobile side (such as S20 users) are still being authenticated and managed according to Sprint protocols and standards even though they are assigned to the TMobile network.

It will very likely be the same for the 6/15 group.

There will be more waves after that with a big one scheduled for August 2, on which date the stores will move to all-TMobile branding.

(Just to note there is ESim support on Sprint now for Pixels and iPads but I know you mean for iPhones)..

I placed an online order of unlocked Pixel 3a XL from Best Buy and added a new line to my current free-one-year Sprint account. But it turns out the plan for this phone is $65 unlimted basic, not the $25 kickstart plan I wanted from Best Buy.

I just received the phone, haven't opened the box or put the SIM card into the phone yet. So my question is when I start to pay for this $65 plan, the time Best Buy shipped the phone, or when I put the SIM into the phone?

TIA.

Do they charge you tax on the full price of the 4 phones if you choose iphone 7 or more expensive phones?

There is no reason why you would not be able to.

Google voice could be another option for $20 one time charge although they require you to have some cellular number still (or someone else's who would verify you).

I definitely would not activate it until you get the plan straightened out even though they should not start charging right away, because you want to keep this as simple as possible.

Best Buy has a phone activation support number. I would call them:
