For the Verizon deal, can I swap phones later? I was going to move my Sprint line over to an older Verizon phone, and replace the phone later this month.

Yes you can, BUT make sure in the Verizon web site that this OLDER phone is now compatible with its current system.
If it's not VoLTE capable it's not but check the IMEI first.

Thanks. So only one order for 5 lines went thru. got confirmation from FRGL.

Now I cannot apply again for the 6th line. (Maybe I got flagged bec its my second app ?) How could I get FRGL CB? What if Verizon adds 6th line to order?

Perhaps if you wait 24 hours and try again for the 6th line?
Also, you may try another browser?
From what you describe is it BFRGL that's not allowing you or Verizon?
Remember, this ordering process must be done online for the $300 rebate, only after is the CS involved to combine the accounts/lines.

Thanks. I did try diff browsers. I am filling out my name info the same as the first order. Verizon comes up with an error and says to call...

Did you wait before applying second time?

amazing response.

to fix:
ask support to enable ROMAHOME.
if it is enabled, ask to disable it. !!

priceless !!

by the way, for me in bay area, the speeds have plummeted in last 7-12 days.

unbearable. 0.5 to 1.5 mbps at best

have a lg v40, iphone xs.
"ask support to enable ROMAHOME.
if it is enabled, ask to disable it. !!"

I know this sounds contradictory but all I am saying is, you could try the opposite setting of what it is now, since the current setting is not working for you.

In other words, if it is set to TMobile, try switching it to Sprint. If it is set to Sprint, try switching it to connect to TMobile and see if that is better.

But maybe a better way of coming at this is, find out which band you are connected to on the LG V40 by running SignalCheck Lite (or LTE Discovery).

Let's say it is 25,26, or 41. In other words a Sprint Band. Then disable all 3 of those bands as per https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...d_options/

This will force the phone onto TMobile and you can see how it performs. there (hopefully better!)..

For the iPhone, to determine the band it is using, you can use

Dial star-3001-pound-12345-pound-star-(send). Click on "serving cell info", and see what LTE band your phone is connected to.

From the band, you can tell if it is connecting to Sprint or TMobile, which is a first step to diagnosing the problem.

2 orders with BFRGL and Verizon, then call Verizon CS they merge them for the $LOW/line rate.
Same name, etc.
There is no hard pull credit check, only a soft check inquiry, so it doesn't affect your credit score.
How did you do a second order? When I try to do mine it says i already have an account and to logon and add a line...

That's nice of you - I just did not want to assume anything.

As to the bands, that's very interesting.

I assume you had roaming enabled on the phone (it never costs anything on Sprint) and yet you got no signal with the Sprint bands disabled. If that is the case, it would seem you have no Tmobile coverage where you are? At least not on the bands supported by that phone.

You could try disabling the Sprint bands two at a time (forcing it onto the one that is left enabled) to see if that is any better.

Other than that, it does sound grim, although they are definitely working on reconfiguring the network so hopefully it is temporary. They are only in the early stages of the work that is planned.

TMobile is very poor here and my S20 has been moved onto it already by Sprint- actually I can force it back to Sprint bands but I am leaving it on TMobile for now because I have other phones anyway and I hear they plan on delivering good TMobile service here including 5G.
