LeapFrog Epic 7" Android-based Kids Tablet 16GB - $25 - Walmart *B&M YMMV Deal*

On clearance for $25 in my area, down from MSRP of $128. Many stores had one set up as a store model, so if your store only lists one in stock it might not be worth the trip (unless you want one that has been on 24/7 and touched by thousands).

I went to the one in Newark where Brickseek showed it at $25 but when I went to the store it rang as $119 also. Save yourself a trip

Brickseek is showing two in stock at a somewhat nearby store ... I would love to pick them up for my granddaughter's, not sure it's worth the trip.

Thanks OP. Keep in mind leapfrog was purchased by Vtech last year and since then very few new games have been released. Not sure what's in store for leapfrog. Kinda sad.

Nice deal if you are able to get one.
Freehold NJ shows 2 in stock on brickseek, Walmart app showed limited stock, I went there and could not find it.
Checked with an employee and he said they were all sold out.

I always check on Walmart app before heading to the store. I set my default store as the one I am heading to and search the app to see the store price.

Problem is that the app shows $25 but store price rings up $119.

Did anyone on this thread actually buy it for $25? Sounds like everyone who finds it in stock is having the same problem I did. Brickseek is not accurate.

Walton app is more accurate than the WM app.

Given that in the last two years there have been almost no new games and instead the app store has lots of television episodes, I don't think that's going to happen.

Ok. This deal is a little confusing because the walmart reps do not realize there are two different UPCs for the Epic. The $25 ones have a normal white on black UPC and a serial number on the box. The $119 ones have a new gold on black UPC with a DSIA number on the box. This is the only change as the new ones will not work until the DSIA is entered at a register to prevent theft.

All of the $25 ones I have found are open box or display models and are locked up under the tablet display. Being open box, they were additionally discounted below the $25. I scored 2 for $10 at one store (missing micro USB cords) and 1 for $18.75 at another.

Go in being polite and knowing what you are looking for and it goes well. Took over an hour for them to figure it out at the first store, but at $10 each it was worth the wait.

Give rep if this helps you out.

I'll post in a few on how to bypass the lock code to factory reset them.
