Not sure what's funny, AMD catching up... or Intel not going anywhere in the last 10 years.
this is not the old amd cpu with build in heater. Ryzen generate around much heat as i5/i7

Better than some i5/mobo deals I've seen lately (online only).

Looks good, and most likely guaranteed to hit that extra 200mhz (4ghz).

I am running my 1600X @ 4.1 perfectly and I only adjusted the all-core clock speed. I did not have to up the voltage. I will try to get 4.2 this weekend. I am using the GIGABYTE AORUS GA-AX370-GAMING K7 board which has been flawless.

The system lagging on any recent hardware usually means you have some other problems.

I have both the 7700 K and this processor motherboard combo. I haven't turned up anything beyond the Stock speeds and there is no comparison between the two chips. THe 7700 totally kicks this processors ass. I love AMD graphics cards but there processors have been laggy.

Ryzen ipc equals skylake and 7700k is clocked higher. in terms of noticeable difference, probably not much. You pick AMD if you want the best price/performance, you pick kaby lake if you want the the best quad core with hyperthreading.
