Picked up 2 of these at Walmart in the clearance section for $4.50 - zip code 33825. Most other stores in the area show $9.00.

Brickseek [brickseek.com]

Would be nice if it at least had gig ports. Could be used for: Wireless Access Point, Repeater/Range Extender, 4-port 10/100 switch, or just plug things in and watch the lights flash... the possibilities are limit(ed).

Brickseek shows 5 available 70 and 100 miles away. Nice price, but I am not jumping in my car tonight. Thanks anyway!

Everyone is trashing on these, but at less than $10, it's a good choice if you just need a no frills get you on the internet router, this does the trick.

I upgraded the firmware on one to a fairly recent version of dd-wrt and it's been quietly just working for over a year now.

Previously had another setup (also with dd-wrt) as a wireless bridge and repeater for a Chromecast that wasn't getting a strong signal due to tv placement. Worked well in that situation too.

They are $9 here in Reno. Have to admit, I had one for years without problems. Picked it up as a refurb to boot. But, yeah, a lot of better router deals going on at Walmart now.

I bought one of these many years ago, via a Slickdeal, and it's been great. If you just need basic web surfing on a mobile device, it works fine. I'm not interested in anything faster and my ISP is terrible and only offers 50Mb here anyway.

I never understand why Walmart hangs on to these dated products. This router debuted in 2012. I also often see really old software in the Walmart clearance aisles like Norton 2008 antivirus (marked down to $30!) or some other really old software where sometimes the company is no longer in business. Confused
