Word of caution: this device has some severe wifi performance issues, see previous deal thread for more info. I am sending mine back, and the one and only reason for it is bad wifi.

I bought one before Christmas last year when they were on sale ($280). It is a good little tablet for basic tasks. Battery is decent. Windows Updates can take a long time. Be sure to also buy a microSD and move your home directory there. Pen is accurate and easy to take notes with, a great value for basic windows computing.

How does this compare to the surface 3 ? I love the form factor and the size of my old surface 3, but performance is seriously lacking. I have issues just simply dealing with multiple tabs on chrome.

The surface 3 has a slightly faster CPU but may have either 2gb/4gb of ram. If you have the 2gb version of the Surface 3 this may better handle more tabs but if you have the 4gb version it will be slower.

The 64 gig is not enough to store your stuff especially (the OS takes like 12 Gig I think) outlook PSTs etc. It is a quick way to easily expand your user directory, and I great way to back up your files (pop it out when the machine is off, copy and return).

The only things that would have made this a home run would have been a higher resolution screen
