Massdrop is a group buying site where the final price is determined by the number of purchases so the final price may end up being lower (not higher). You will be charged when the group buy ends on or before July 3, 2017 and only at the lowest unlocked price. Estimated ship date is July 24, 2017. -johnny_miller

Massdrop is doing a drop of the Samsung 850 EVO 1TB for $279.99 with free shipping ending in 6 days. This is the best price on this particular drive right now by a good margin, though they'll likely be better deals in 3 months or so. You can upgrade to the 850 Pro for $170 but it's not worth it.

Estimated ship date is July 24, 2017

I agree, but if you need a 1TB SSD now, this is a good deal comparatively. If you're OK waiting 3-6 months, you'll be able to find better.

I been looking for this and at this price, you can only get a used one on ebay. This is a great deal and its brand new!

SSD prices have been high on Samsung. Others like Crucial, etc you can always get a sale on it.

Wow, I haven't used Massdrop for a while. They're good.

I was just looking for a good SSD to replace the wife's 6 year old iMac mechanical drive. Perfect timing. Thank you!
