Decent price for someone looking for one of these. Will say though, personally, moving to a true wetshave system with a double edged razor has been a fantastic move financially. Highly recommend to others -- enough blades to last an entire year only cost me about $10. Don't buy in to the overpriced razor market!

Is wet shave system mean electric?
Electric doesnt work as well for me as a blade

While I agree with your point that many cartridges are ridiculously expensive, the Mach3 is not exactly a good example of "the overpriced razor market"... I have quite a pile of Mach3 cartridges, all purchased for less than $1/ea, and they last longer than most competitors I've tried. I've tried a few of the older handle & blade systems you describe - maybe I just didn't stick with them long enough to appreciate them, but I just prefer the shave and the convenience of cartridges. (OTOH - I've also tried various 4-, 5- and 6-blade systems, and don't care for those either... so it's definitely a matter of finding what works for you, then finding the best prices.)
JMHO

TU on the deal - good for anyone who doesn't yet have a Mach3 handle (mine from >15 years ago is still going strong)

No. Here's a good site [westcoastshaving.com] for an explanation. Go with a double edge safety razor that takes blades like these. [amazon.com].

That's cheap. I use Personna brand. 20 disposables for $2 at Big Lots.

Pff. A Gillette cartrige will last you a year or more if you put up with a slight discomfort. They still shave well. Speaking from experience....

I have tried safety razers and i personally don't like it at all. If you can put up with it, then it definitely is way cheaper, but I just have a much better time with good Gillette razers. It's pretty expensive but much more enjoyable imo
