By the way, there's free two-day shipping and free returns through ShopRunner, which makes trying these shoes easier. Due note, however, that there will still be a restocking fee of $10 per pair for any Factory-Second returns.

According to the Allen Edmonds website, "Factory-Seconds are shoes that contain slight blemishes that don't allow them to be sold as First-Quality shoes at our Retail stores, on AllenEdmonds.com or through our partner retailers. Close to 90% of the imperfections are due to slight cosmetic blemishes such as scratches, nicks, leather imperfections or wrinkles."

If there is a flaw with any of the three pair, I haven't noticed.
If you go to the ShoeBank site, it will actually tell you where the pair is located. The best bet would be to try to find ones at their main warehouse listed at:

I believe these go through a round of vetting before being put into the 2nd's inventory.
If they are listed at a store or outlet, I believe it will be a bit more hit or miss. If ordering via ShoeBank you need to call in the order, and several times when trying to get a pair listed as located at a retail outlet or store, I've been told "you don't really want this pair".
However, if ordering online as is now possible at the main site, you won't get that feedback.
