I've had this one for about 9 months and another similar Brother for about 3 years, both going strong. Solid printer, decent scanning. The software is much more streamlined than some other brands like HP/Epson, much more business-like. 3rd party ink is cheap and easy to get off Amazon/eBay/Meritline. Most people will want a USB cable, even if you're planning to go wireless, as it makes setup easier.

You can beat the ink cartridge cartel by buying after market tanks at Amazon.
Dont even try to refill factory cartridges with the little bottles and syringe.
I have a similar model and it works perfect for me.
I even bought the oversized tanks that stick out the front and hold a years supply of ink.

I got one the last time this deal came around. Very happy with this printer. It even received an automatic firmware update a few days ago, which is great from a computer security point of view. Lots of internet connected devices never get an update after they leave the factory. Can get very affordable 3rd party ink for this too.

Does automatic document feeder capacity mean that I don't have to scan page by page? I hate my HP 4500 Envy because of the fact that I have to manually scan page by page.
