My wife found this turntable at Aldi today for $40. Any of these special products with Aldi, it could be regional and limited quantity, so YMMV. I couldn't find a link on the Aldi website, but I did find a post on what is probably the same item with a different label in the UK.

Bought the same one- it's terrible and squeaks every second. I'm emailing customer service now (as I've already thrown the box away like an idiot), hoping they'll have an idea or will offer to send a new one (doubt it).

Unfortunate. I know 'you get what you pay for', so I wasn't expecting an amazing record player, but I sure was hoping it would work and be something I'd actually want to listen to. 'squeak..... squeak.... squeak...." is not a favorite song of mine.

My wife bought me one and I was impressed with such a cool portable, mine works amazing... I customized a battery pack in it where the the DC plug goes... Great for my funk diggs!!
