IMO that depends on the car/dash kit. I've installed two Pioneer head units (4200NEX and 8200NEX) into a 2012 and 2013 Kia Sportage and they look as good as a factory install. The aftermarket dash kit is basically an exact match for the factory dash material. With the add on module steering wheel controls work perfect and I was able to wire in the existing microphone on the car into the head unit. I even added in a dual usb charging port into the center console that connects to back of the head unit so you can plug your phone in for Android Auto or Apple Car play integration. Then I picked up a backup camera off ebay that replaced one of the license plate lamps and wired it. The whole setup has a very factory look.

You will need a dash kit to make it fit. With a new car, I would avoid replacing the stereo with an aftermarket if you care about the aesthetics if your car interior. The reason being that aftermarket tend to look a bit tackier than their stock counterparts.

Man I want to pull the trigger on something like this so bad, but I'm wary of installing an after market into my truck when Crutchfield says everything is a "modified fit".
This one even is Android Auto compatible... damnit...
