This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.
All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I was wondering about that as well. I know the theaters will be packed this weekend for HSM3
I am not looking forward to that at all.
Last night...tons of screaming adults for Janet Jackson
weekend, lots of screaming kids for HSM3!!!!
I bet you guys hear those kind of complaints fairly often & are thinking...
we are not associated/affiliated with Fandango..they just sell our tickets...that's it. Issue with theater, contact us....Issue w/tickets, contact Fandango!!
They are a 3rd party vendor for theaters.
My favorite part is when people get pissed that we won't refund the $1 fee...uhm we didnt charge you the freakin dollar fandango did!
Oh this weekend will be a blast b/c not only do we have to deal with hsm3, but saw 5 and all the brats trying to sneak in. we enforce the r rating very seriously b/c we can get in big trouble if we don't and its a huge hassle.
I swear to god men are just dense sometimes (sorry inaa!) I made a comment about how I was sick of doing dishes and dh went into this whole thing about how i should buy paper plates and im always at the store (uhm yea twice in two weeks not all the time nerd) and i just wanted to smack him!!!
But i feel really bad for him, he was supposed to go in yesterday and get an epidural on his back for the pain and they didn't bother to tell him until he was already there the ins. won't cover it until Dec. 1 st
So he has to go through this for another month. He's tired of being in pain and taking pain killers and being out of it, so he's really depressed about it. We're praying the epidural works b/c the next option is surgery. We know it's probably inevitable, but he's only 30 and it's really hard for him to be so young and have so many problems!
An example for me is that I have to drive almost 20 miles to get to a Target that has the Horizon milk boxes so when I make that special trip, passing two other regular T stores, I will buy 15 or so milk boxes (some singles, some the 3 packs). This is one of the few coupons that I would use so many at one time. I've only used the Lipton 1 or 2 at a time, but that Horizon one is special circumstance. Am I the only one that doesn't consider this valid usage of a TQ to be "smash & grab" ?
That is a TQ, so I wouldn't consider that a smash and grab either, unless you were buying 50 at a time. What I consider to be smash and grabbing is going in a store and wiping them out, all the time. I think we have all bought too many of a product at one point or another, but when excessive runs are constantly posted in the deals thread, new people and lurkers can tend to think that kind of shopping is the norm, which leads to more smash and grabbing. What would be the point of posting that someone bought 74 reams of paper vs just stating that they just bought paper? My theory is it is to brag, but in doing so, others tend to think its ok to wipe the store out of paper. This kind of behaviour is what led HP to contact the CIC about the abuse of the q. Now, no one can use it.
And, contrary to what someone else posted, I don't believe it is justifiable simply because you donate to charity, especially if you are using coupons in ways other than intended. That is like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

My smash & grab is "trading" too many coupons and the expiration date is nearer and nearer.
Ideally, I need to go to 10 stores per day until 10/31 - Realistically, it's tiring just thinking about it...

getting tips on fanny pack fashion from my MIL
OK, having a really sh!tty day for all kinds of reasons-- one of them being I somehow got water in my ear last night while taking a shower and it WON'T COME OUT!!!! So it's like my whole right side of my head is full of cotton and I had to teach my classes today hardly being able to hear my students or tell how loudly I was talking.
[It's like I'm almost 35 years old and I suddenly forgot how to properly bathe myself??? WTH?? How did I got an do something like that; it's so stupid.]
But you two just totally cracked me up.
Thanks-- I really, really needed that.

One of the posts I read about smash and grab had something about buying only 1 or 2 items at a time. Not going to work or apply for every instance.
btw, I LOVE that drama smilie.

Try putting a drop of alcohol in there or a qtip soaked in alcohol. The alcohol dries and takes the water with it or something like that. Our Dr. told use to do this for the kids in the summer because they were always getting swimmers ear from the water that would get trapped in there.
