When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I love it when someone asks a question about something I posted on a thread (something that had been discussed in detail over the last few days) and when I responded, showing where all the posts were, they respond, "Oh, I don't have time to read the thread, I just read the last page." Mad

So glad I take the time out of MY day to answer your question, when you're too busy to do sh!t to help yourself. Mad

My patience is pretty much stretched to the limit these days-- I almost ripped the head off this student who almost bumped into me on campus the other day b/c she was walking while texting-- but come the crap on!! At least say thanks or something.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled programming. . . .

We had a little trauma here last night. . . couldn't find one of the cats (the grey guy in my avatar) and actually thought he might have gotten out. (Our cats are inside only.) It seemed impossible, but the house just isn't that big. So DH and I are wandering around the neighborhood with flashlights calling to him at 10:30 last night. . . I'm wracking my brain trying to remember any cabinet or door I might have opened that he might have slipped in to. . . when I suddenly remembered having left open (and then later shutting) one of my dresser drawers. I ran back home and out he popped.

I feel so guilty for shutting him in there. I really hope I never shut my baby in a drawer. Frown

You've only done this once? I'm impressed... getting "trapped" in a closet or drawer happens a lot around here with our cats

My mom's black cat Poe loves to lay on tops of things... high up... especially in closets. Bugger is like a shadow and sneaks in when you open something for a few minutes. Many hours later you'll hear a closet howling

Weeellll, let's just say that our "old woman," Bitsy, who's still pretty spry (but getting ever more crabby) at the age of 15, USED to like to snuggle in the warm clothes in the dryer.

Until a few months ago, when DW opened the dryer and removed something, then went back later and restarted it with poor kitty inside. She realized as she was walking out of the laundry room what she'd done and rescued her...panting, glassy eyed, limp. I thought she was a goner for sure. Rushed her to the emergency vet, who put her in an ice water bath for a while and she came around within an hour or so.

We *thought* she had a broken tail, as for a few weeks it was just kinda hanging limply, but even it has eventually "straightened out." I'm actually pretty amazed...the cat seems unfazed---

---but she won't even go into the kitchen anymore, much less the laundry room!!!

Sorry about your kitty Comfort But don't worry, you won't do that to the baby shake head hug
Gee, I *hope* not...laugh out loud

Quote from sbhiggins :
Well, since the baby won't be able to drag himself into the dresser for a few months, at least I have some time. laugh out loud

Just trying to assuage my guilt by laughing here.

Oh, they get stuck in closets all the time. And I know well of the howl you speak. Big Grin

This was the first time for the drawer, though. Now I know.
Note to wife: close dryer door any time you have opened it.

First: poor kitty!! I'm so glad she's OK. A friend of ours had a kitty named Godzilla who leapt into the broiler right as he was closing the over door once. EEK! Luckily it took a second for it to kick in, so Godzilla was not broiled that night.

Second: Rofl2 I know, I know. I have low tolerance for the stupid and ignorant who will not help themselves even on the best of days. . . and these are not the best of days. Big Grin

Yeah, I was reading the thread this was in (one of the million Wags ones)... Some posters are just freakin' annoying, lazy and unappreciative (is this a word?). A lot of these useless posts would disappear if people would just take the time to read. I get frustrated and I'm not even preggers! laugh out loud

I broke mine of that habit quick for that reason - that and I didn't want PETA kicking down my door when I posted a pic of him in the dryer on another forum long ago laugh out loud

EEK! Our girl kitty did something similar - she loves to be in the kitchen... and we were taking something out of the oven and she jumped onto the VERY HOT oven door. She just stood and looked at me Faint My heart stopped and I screamed a bloodcurdling scream... luckily that made her run off the door! Her little paws didn't even get hurt from it at least. Would love to have a set of the paw coating for myself...

DH and I voted almost two weeks ago. Everytime people talk about the election, I'm like, "Isn't that thing over yet??"

We had to wait in line for over an hour to vote. And that was the early voting. Faint Over 17,000 people had already voted in the first two days of early voting here.
Lines for early voting??? Holy snit! We walked right in and voted - no lines at all... DH is actually working the polls on election day as a poll watcher, looking for any irregularities.

hug I'm sooooo sorry to hear that. I just wanted to let you know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do, other than give you our support and hugs, please let us know.

laugh out loud about the paw pads; don't bother reading the WAGs thread. It really wasn't that interesting.

Apparently the polls have been that busy constantly. Like 60% of the state has already voted. Which is good, I think.

I must have missed something. I always thought early voting was for absentee, handicapped, etc. Is it a choice now to vote early? If 60% of the state has already voted, why have an election day?

SB I notice you were still up at 1:00. Hope you were able to get a good nights sleepnod

some states, not all, have early voting to allow those who work late, etc. a chance to vote as well. Similar to absentee without the mailing, etc. I really meant to so I could vote while both kids were in school (dd is in prek on MWF) but looks like I'll be dragging her along with me...what was I thinking? bblueskye's DH will get to witness a few irregularities with my wild dd in the booth with me LMAORoll Eyes (Sarcastic)
