This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

See I told you--once you start again, it's easy. Now go stock up on at least 10 years worth of goody. Wonder how long we can keep them until the elastic will wear out
Those goody stuff are cute Smilie Too bad I decided to get a really short haircut just last week. Well, those clips are really cute too and the only way to wear them out is to loose them which I do most of the time anyway shake head

Well, that means I have to get more of them laugh out loud DH almost fell when he saw me clip one of them on DS's hair... bad, bad me laugh out loud I can't help it, he looks so cute with a hairclip on him though.

Oh, and DS, thanks again. hug

Seems like last year quite a few people on the board bought the Rose Petal Cottage stuff for their kids. I'm thinking of making that my 3 yr old DD's big gift this year. Any thoughts from those who got it last year? Did the kiddos play with it quite a bit? Is it durable? Thanks!
I have one. My dd (she's 2 1/2) LOVES it. It is quite big. Really big. We have it in the corner of our living room. The photo on the box shows it fitting in a closet......ummmm....not our closets. It's worth the money IMO, but just make sure you have the room. It can't be easily folded at a moments notice or anything (like the pop up houses....love those!!!)

Here is the deal - (all experts feel free to correct me) -

If one is subtle and posts -

I bought:
Train $35 used $5TQ
Glad Bags $12 used $2 MQ + $3 TQ
blah blah blah
no beeps

They DO NOT need to post the before & after cost because you know theywere able to use coupons to reduce their totals - They could be totally absolutely legit coupons or perhaps they may be a little fuzzy around the edges ---

Then YOU as the reader know that there are coupons out there (perhaps you know what coupons the poster is referring to/perhaps you do not) which *could* work for you. Then YOU as the reader send a PM to the poster as ask for specifics ... ie you could say "Hi Joe Bloggs - you posted that you used a $5 TQ for such and such an item could you give me more details please?"

I have found that most people are very agreeable and willing to help - not all, but if they are not don't worry and move on -

Posting about stretchy use of coupons will get the threads closed down and then NO ONE can help ANYONE! So if you don't know - don't ask on the thread - PM! It is easy Smilie

HTH - D
Well I agree, and post after post with people saying omg don't ask that question about unintended coupon use are calling big time attention to the fact that it is being talked about. I mean I can look at the runs posted and figure out what coupons are used, but some can't or get confused. They don't ask I want to ask about the unintended coupon use they are just asking a question about a coupon. Instead of 20 people posting after that and calling them out on a public forum over and over for asking a question about using the coupon, which really calls the mods attention more if you ask me, why don't only one or two people at most post that the question is unacceptable. Or someone PM the question asker and tell them what the deal is? As much as everyone doesn't want to read post after post of the same question, I don't want to read post after post of omg, when they didn't really do anything wrong. What makes so many think that have to post this after it has been posted again and again. I mean I get what you are saying, but those asking a question did not do what the mods said not to do, which was post about a coupon for unintended use. They are just asking a question.

200? poor eyesight... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I think clearanced items are fair game. They want to "clear" their inventory and you're there to help them achieve their goal. look around

I couldn't agree more! (in red) Multi-quote people. When you get to the end, you'll know if a post has been responded to and you can delete it from your multi-quote.

But, in the situation you are referring to....The OP did nothing wrong by posting her run. She posted she bought a product and got $ off with a q. By not posting the specific q, she did not post a q being used for it's unintended purpose.

It was posted directly after the OP's post, to please PM if you have any questions on the above q's. What the poster asking the question did wrong, was not heed the warning and instead, asked on the forum.
