$400 for a 1920x1080p monitor is pretty expensive. Would be a decent deal if this was 2560x1440p.

This actually is a 1440p monitor with a max. resolution of 2560 x 1440 ... So I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

Yeah, I get it now... 2560×1440 should not be called 2K, it's far better...

"There has been a new trend of 2K displays popping up. Everyone is going for the first 2K display in a smartphone. And we all know 2K is 2560×1440, but why has it been called 2K recently? I have no idea.

For comparison, 4K is named for being almost 4000 pixels wide, or 3840 to be exact. 1080p is technically 2K, because it's 1920 pixels wide. What people are now calling 2K is 2560 pixels wide, which should be 2.5K, right?

But maybe we should call it what it is, 1440p. Or QHD, which is another official name (not to be confused with the old qHD 960×540). Calling it 2K feels absolutely wrong."

So, disregarding whether or not 2k or 1440 is the best term to describe this... Anybody know if this is a good monitor and if this is a decent price for it?
