I'm really sick of Fry's, they always have the best promos but only exist in California for the most part... Come on Fry's, if you're going to be constantly littering the front page with incredible deals, the least you could do is expand to all 50.

Right? At least one deal alert for Fry's per day for me and most of the time I don't even bother reading them as it's almost always in store only.

TBH I'm not sure how they are surviving. Their prices ARE good if you know how to hunt through their crappy newsletters and find that promo code. That said, I'm in Houston and lucky enough to have one close to me on the way home from work. I kinda cringe going in for pickup since it can be a zoo only 2nd to Walmart pickups.

The prices aren't that great. With price protection and buying from a reputable seller online, you can get a 2017 LG 65" OLED for $2k-$2.1k with little work (with no tax or shipping).
how? lol

How is this not that great? This is $1947 w/ tax, but w/out price protection. still less WITHOUT price protection. W/ price protection, you'll get this puppy for $1800 or less.. how is that not great? I think this might be one of the best deals ever on this..

Just buy the TV from e.g. Beach Camera (call them for better pricing), and then use Discover card or whatever card you have that price protection, and match with ebuyUSA or tvsuperstore sites for $500 back.

$1800 or less for a 2016 model which is so inferior it's not even funny, - and won't be receiving any major software updates again, vs ~$2,000 for the 2017 model which is better in so many aspects it's STILL not even funny.

In addition, these 2016s are all but gone at this point anyway.

Most I'm seeing are display units and there aren't many of those.

I've had great luck price matching at the local Best Buy. (2 40" Samsung TV's @ $349, router, external hard drive). Showed the web page printout or a cart page on phone and they rang it up no problem. YMMV finding an associate that wants to make a sale.

Can Discover Price Protection be used in conjunction with this deal and then buying local or online if you have no Fry's around you?
Is there a stipulation regarding that stock must be on hand (or other) that I should be aware of before I try it?
Thx
