By now, you've heard about Moviepass - but for those of you who are lucky enough to be in the Denver or Boston Markets, did you know that you can also get 3D and Imax movies?

Restriction is still one per day, but with Movie Pass Premium you are able to go to IMAX and 3D movies at AMC theaters.

You will need to check the box to add $10 a month to the $9.95 subscription, I attached a screen shot to show the box.

in my experience, if you go early enough no clerk will care if you just go straight into a imax theater with regular ticket. What stop you is just your moral standpoint.
I know with Transformers, I wanted to go to the first showing for the T-Shirt, they packaged in for free. but with T-Mobile Tuesday, its wouldn't allow for that specific first showing, but AMC didn't care and let me swap tickets with ease.

They would need to block Mastercard altogether to block moviepass, and in the event of that hypothetically happening moviepass would just start using Visa Wink

Yeah at my AMC its the same entrance for Imax/3D and regular. Nobody checks once in through the main entrance, you would need to sneak in your own 3D glasses if trying to watch that on a regular ticket though

Well hell yeah then! The only issue, I'd see my self getting pissed off about is, that the card doesn't work when I get to the theater. So I have to pay OOP and wait for them to reimbursed me.

It's a partnership with AMC, why would they block it?

its not a partnership. moviepass is footing 100% of the tickets.

AMC outright stated that they are looking for ways to stop moviepass http://investor.amctheatres.com/f...=389925821

In Denver and Boston, you don't need card for AMC theaters. Just use app and get e-ticket

That's from 2014. The link the other guy linked is current. AMC Is actively trying to stop Moviepass since its went to $10 monthly.

They've been trying to "block" it.

This is the second time AMC has fought back against MoviePass's flat-fee approach. In 2011, the exhibitor said its theaters wouldn't cooperate with MoviePass, despite having recently hosted a beta test of the service at some of its locations. That has proven impossible for AMC because MoviePass subscribers use a special card that relies on the same system as the theaters' debit card readers.
