DISABLE BLOATWARE: To disable Verizon bloatware, see this post from the Walmart thread for this phone. You can click on his image files and see what apps to disable.
Only if you pay VZ the ransom by putting it on prepaid first in order to get it whitelisted. Box says 12 months or $70 in payments on prepaid before it can be unlocked. If you don't and take your post paid SIM and put it into this phone it will get hotlined. Might as well just buy the unlocked version and skip all of that.

No it cannot. I asked the same in the other thread.
I just put my postpaid sim into the phone and called Verizon saying the 4g lte and calling wasn't working after 5 hrs. They fixed it, no questions asked.

You will have problems later as reported by others in the other thread just don't be surprised.

I take it back, I reinserted the postpaid SIM again and was able to get data/LTE to work. However calls would not go through and I got a text later (not sure how long, by that time I had taken the SIM back out but didn't turn my postpaid phone on for a while) saying this device needs to be activated on prepaid first blah blah.

EDIT: Won't let me check out on Walmart for shipping, defaults to a local store for pickup.
