I think you'd be better off just buying a new video card. The rest of your components are fine.

What...As someone else said, just upgrade the GPU separately. You'd basically be downgrading everything else for a 1070.

It drew attention, I was gonna go with a reply I saw in another thread if it were true "chop shop"

This will outperform the Dell Ryzen 1700x + RX580 deals posted lately for gaming. Definitely needs a SSD and probably another 8GB RAM.

It states that the video card is the GeForce GTX 1070 Founder's Edition.

Good deal. If I didn't already have a ryzen 5 gtx 1070 build I would jump on this. Only thing this is missing is an ssd.

So if I decided to buy this and sell my computer from a previous deal, how would I go about selling it and anyone know what it could be worth? Also, how big of a jump in performance is this deal over what I currently have? I use it primarily for photo and video editing and some htc vive stuff.

it was:
1 tb ssd
2 - 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6G Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 FH GFX
12GB DDR4-2133 DIMM (1x8GB+1x4GB) RAM
Windows 10 64
4th Generation Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-5820K processor hexa-core [3.3GHz, 15MB Shared Cache]
Final cost after SD rebate. $926

Great deal for the 1070. Heck, the 1070 is over half the cost of the system.

This would be a good buy just for the video card, HDD and memory. Sell the rest.

Yeah the 1070 will do VR fine but I'd throw in 8 more GB ram and an SSD.
