T-Mobile Promotion: Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL Expired

For the folks hoping to trade in their Pixel to Google and buy the Pixel 2:

Per TMO T&C the MAXIMUM you will get from TMO is $324...
ADD mandatory sim card at $25....
ADD service for at least 2 months....

... and the rebate really starts to look not so good unless you were already planning to switch to TMO.

Just keep all the info in mind before you make any buying decisions.

This is NOT one of those BUY FIRST THINK LATER deals. Not even close.



The ONLY TWO PLANS that qualify are T-Mobile One and Simple Choice Unlimited.
If you have the senior 55+ plan, or some old grandfathered Simple choice with a data tier, you do not qualify.


You will lose your free line if you have one added from a past promotion.

If you have one or more of those Free Add A Lines from a previous promotion, adding a paid line, and cancelling it later will take off the bill credit for one of the 'free' lines. <--this is not true. I have T-Force telling me I am fine. There is a Reddit saying there are issues with free lines before the March This One's on Us. Ask them to be sure regarding your account.


DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WIKI: I HAVE NO CLUE WHO WROTE IT BUT ITS WRONG

Let me explain: If you have simple choice promo like unlimited or any data tiered plans, this won't work for you. As said above it works with Simple Choice Unlimited and T Mobile One both TE (taxes excluded) and TI (taxes included). Any discounts that you have on t mobile TI including hookup 20 percent, march free line, or any of the 50 percent off lines your good and won't loose the discount when you add a line for the pixel promo and then cancel it.

There is only one exception: If your account has 2 lines for 100 and you already currently at this time have a third line, your hookup discount will be saved but you will loose the free line unless you can get a rep to add it back on for you when your plan switches to 2 for 120 as thats the only plan that has no 4th line restriction.

Lastly if your on t mobile Taxes excluded and you have the black friday lines, i wouldn't add anything as any movement in the account and they might fall off so its better to ask a t mobile rep if they can switch you to 4 lines for 130 special t mobile TI plan. The list of eligible plans are a little more comprehensive than just the ones listed above. The 55+ plan IS qualified for the promotion if you only have one line on there and have room to add another. If you and grannie already got your lines set up on the plan, then no room to add a line, thus disqualifying you.

As for the eligible Simple Choice plans.. essentially, there is a comprehensive list of truly unlimited Simple Choice plans AND/or Qualifying Truly unlimited Data feature (Because some rate plans base cost already includes the unlimited data, like how the T-Mobile ONE plan is, and some were base cost + unlimited data feature. The best way to confirm this is to request the representative to cross reference the list with what you have.

Also, Rebates take 6-8 weeks to process so give it some time.

The free SIM + Visa gift card that was also on SD for add a lines (offered originally through a company's employee portal) is actually offered and handled through another company (MWork Solutions) so while T-Mobile can check whether the promo code was attached to the activation or not, they don't handle the fulfillment of that.
