Newegg Business has many coupons for 10% off Ubiquiti items on their website. This hardware already has great prices and doesn't get discounted very often.

Examples:

UAP-AC-PRO [neweggbusiness.com] $116.99 AC
UniFi USG Gateway [neweggbusiness.com] $103.49 AC
EdgeRouter ER-X [neweggbusiness.com] $49.49 AC
UAP-AC-HD [neweggbusiness.com] $269.99

The full list can be found here [neweggbusiness.com], look for the orange coupon codes.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

An edgerouter x and ac lite have been my best netwroking purchase ever, comparable (or cheaper) than a consumer grade router/ap but significantly more stable, faster and better coverage.

I wouldn't say typical user. This stuff is for people who can follow technical guides or do not mind trouble shooting if something in the network goes wrong. I would never suggest a casual user try to set up an edge router without some understanding of networking.

hmm... Looks like it would cost me about $400 to get off my Meraki stuff. That would net me AC speeds and much faster firewall throughput. But I'd lose the security features of Meraki. Will have to think about it.

I just ordered a UAP-AC-LITE the other day via regular NewEgg, which is supposed to be delivered today. Probably too much work for me to save $7 but good deal for anyone buying.

Been waiting a few months for any discount on unifi UAP AC Pros and haven't seen anything. 10% is good enough. Thanks for posting!

Meh after sales tax the UAP-AC-PRO is about the same price all the time on eBay from highly rated sellers.

Would you be able to setup another firewall w/ similar settings?
How many users/end devices?
What do you like most about Meraki, other than alerts and auto-update?

Meraki has a lot of good stuff in there like traffic analytics, rogue AP containment, and the advanced security suite that basically blocks malicious sites at the router level. I also have all internet traffic logging out to a syslog share.

I haven't looked too far into Unifi so I'm not sure if it offers traffic analytics, or rogue AP containment, or the same level of security, but the firewall performance looks better (probably because it's not doing the same level of security checks).

Meraki has better analytics and raw data but for the price and typical user Ubiquiti wins nearly every time.

Yes, the ES-48-500W/ES-48-750W (standalone managed) and US-48-500W/US-48-750W (single pane of glass, requires controller for configuration). Though neither of them are currently on sale.
