Costco doesn't 'sell' cars. It just uses a rebadged version of TrueCar with some extras thrown in.

Didn't realize how expensive a Tahoe/Yukon are these days. How the heck do so many people drop $60k+ on SUV?

Rates are still low, which help a bit, but many still have to fall back on rediculous 75-84 month financing. Leasing also a great option for many. Feel free to PM me if you have any additional specific questions about the latter.

FYI, there is a good deal for Chevy Bolt for lease if your circumstances are favorable for an electric car.

You're probably better off using the price and taking it to a high volume dealer to get a better price. Check around your dealerships for ones with a lot of models you want that's not part of the Costco network.

I did this for a Subaru and the dealer didn't budget on negotiations since it was already set through Costco. I used that price to go to a high volume dealer that gave me almost 2x the trade in price, which was another $700 and a better price by $1000... They can offer better incentives since they get more kickbacks for higher volume sales.

Now this was a few years ago, but I bought a Subaru when Costco had a $300 cash card sweetener out there. I didn't even use the service, negotiated the way I wanted to, and at the end mentioned I was a Costco Exec Member and wanted to get the cash card. No problem.

Been doing some negotiations on a Tahoe lease...DO NOT ACCEPT COSTCO PRICING!!! You can do better. The dealer will give the costco price and I guess they figure most people just take it. I've negotiated an extra 2K off costco pricing so far and I'm not done. Create a random email address and a google voice phone number so you don't get spammed to death. Get emails out to 10 dealers or so and start working the best deals. They actually have decent lease rates and residuals so the numbers are OK. If you get the best price from a Costco dealer even better cause you can still get the cash card if you don't take the supplier pricing. Happy negotiating
