Basically, you get a free $60 Costco cash card when you upgrade to Executive membership and get a Costco Anywhere Visa card.

I picked up this flyer from Costco 3 weeks ago but don't know how old this offer is. I couldn't find this offer posted on SD or on Google. The offer expires 4/30/2018 and is for new members or reactivated memberships that has been expired for more than 18 months.

I attached pictures of the flyer. I would go to the store to apply and make sure you get a physical copy of the flyer instead of applying online.

I assume you can be a current member and get the cash card as long as it's your first time getting the card? I'm at Costco now and will apply soon. I'll ask them how they define new member (i.e. those who has membership less than 1 yr?)

UPDATE: I just spoke to the rep and I dont qualify even though I joined a few months ago in May. You need to not have membership and then apply for the Visa card the same time as applying for membership to get the $60 cash card. Boo...👎

What if I don't get approve for the credit card..? Do I still have to pay for the membership if I got rejected for the credit card?

Yeah, but I heard you can always cancel membership anytime and get full refund without fees.

Thanks..Smilie.. Actually i have recently got BOFA VISA Credit card.. So, its risky to file for another application in a same month. However, I've a very good credit but still thinking whether to wait or go for it.?

It looks like Costco did have a similar promo for existing Executive members for $55 back in statement credit but it expired on April 9, 2017.

I was told by the customer service rep when I signed up that it would be mailed to my address on record at a later date.

Just did it today, still active! I combined it with the groupon $60 membership + $20 cash card. So if everything checks out I should be getting $80 back, which results to paying $40 for an executive membership. (I'm only going to use the visa card for gas so probably downgrade at the end of the year for a refund on the executive membership)
