All Sony tv's are going to be made by TCL, they paid almost 1 billion dollars for the contract. I sell this TV at Costco. It's better than most of the tv's we sell, for the price. It's also been as low as $479. It depends on your definition of garbage.

Honestly Sony is garbage, they haven't made a good tv in years and they sell so little of them. Wow times have changed, yes TCL has had some nice sets but we see a lot break or broke righg out of the box new. The 5 year warranty is the grace. LG over anything.. what a solid tv. Rarely do they break too.

I thought that about TCL years back. I think Hisense is better than them now UX, U9N etc, but I think Samsung has some great sets around this price but those break a lot too. LG OLED is so worth it and the picture quality is muah. Worth the penny for something we watch everyday.
