If you have a gasser you can save money by getting this car and:
1. Get $2,500 state tax rebate
2. Other thread talks about $700 back from costco
3. Pay no fuel charges if you can charge at work.

Other advantages of an electric vehicle:
1. No vibration from engine
2. Silent ride
3. Save time by not stopping at gas stations
4. Save time by using car pool lane sticker

Reasons not to get this car:
1. Seats are small and perhaps uncomfortable. Normal seats are 20 inches wide and these are 17 inches wide.
2. You like breathing in carcinogens at the gas station
3. You enjoy breathing in nitrogen oxides from your car
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exhaust_gas#NOx
4. You really need autosteer or adaptive cruise control

Yea I saw the plus tax part and figured it would be around $216ish per month. But you're right about the other extra fees.

Yeah, they want to be able to deny certain people the deal. The deal was available last month and likely available next month.

Not necessarily as inventory can dry up when the 2018 model is released

GM gets 3 zev credits for 2017 car and because of rule changes gets 2 zev credits for 2018 car, so they will sell the 2017 for as long as possible.

Chevy hybrid/electric car rocks. I don't regret I leased a 2017 volt ($200/month, 15k miles/year, $1600 down) after selling my 2014 porsche carrera $711/months loan.

In 2015 during the time of the great spark ev lease in April, it was difficult to find stock or dealers weren't willing to give great deals after about May or June.

Is there a federal tax credit for this vehicle or just California tax rebate?
