targeted codes get mailed to Newegg customers usually in appreciation for purchasing promotional items in a previous month, basically if you didn't get one you can can't use the code (as opposed the newsletter codes which go to all subscribers)

That code was nice to have... I've been on the fence about this game because the price was too high but now I actually got it. Scary game, too, I played it at my friend's house.
