Their MSRP prices are definitely inflated, but compare with Cycle Gear, which has the Sentinel on closeout for $579. Based on an hour's research, these seem to be reasonably well regarded by those who have bought them. In other words, they're not just fashionable junk that won't protect you in a crash.

Their eBay store comes out to about the same price.
Shipping costs $8.95 but is free over $100.

IMO, the hump just doesn't work on this jacket (Zuma). Otherwise, very nice piece for the price.
