This deal is for a 4G LTE SIM Card, running off the nationwide AT&T LTE network, with FreedomPop! It comes with a 2GB Premium 30-day trial, which can be downgraded to a free plan, including 200 MB, 200 minutes, and 500 texts each month!

WARNING: It is recommended that you do a search for and thoroughly read an online guide to the FreedomPop SIM products. Failing to understand the ins and outs of this deal will likely result in unexpected charges.
You must pay the $10 credit to downgrade to the free plan. If you don't want to pay the $10, you can cancel your account, or not sign up in the first place. Yes, the cost to get to the free plan is $10.01, not $.01.
If you down grade the premium service and plan without adding the $10 credit. You will be charged $15 right the way since the down grade action acted as a consent for freedompop to charge you $15.

What's the deal?
Our Black Friday Penny Sim Deal is coming early this year - Get 3-in-1 Sim Card Kit for only $0.01 + Free Unlimited Talk, Text, & 2GB Trial + Free Shipping
  • Nationwide 4G LTE 3-in-1 Sim Card Kit ($15 value)
  • Premium 2GB LTE Unlimited Trial ($24.99/month)
  • FreedomPop Phone Premier Trial ($7.99/month)
  • Free Shipping ($6.99 value)
  • Only $0.01!

How is this plan different?
  • 30-day risk-free trial: FreedomPop offers 30-days risk-free trial as opposed to competitors, who offer shorter trial periods. Try us for 1-mo. Cancel or downgrade anytime.
  • We don't change our plan pricing: Take advantage of FreedomPop our discounted $24.99/mo plan pricing and Premier Service at $7.99/mo as long as you stay on the plan and service. The $24.99 and $7.99 will be billed every month post first month trial.
  • We use VOIP technology: With our GSM LTE Sims, we currently only offer talk over VOIP. This allows users to make calls over our data network or over WiFi anywhere in the world. This helps us keep costs down and offer plans that lower than other carriers.

What about the Free Plan?
We will always offer our free plan. Downgrade directly from your FreedomPop account page anytime once your device ships and your service is activated.

Please Note! When downgrading to the free plan, an account balance of $2 is required to protect from fraud and leakage, as data usage can be delayed up to 3 hours. There is a pop-up alert before to confirm a $10 charge to add credit into your account. Downgrade is not complete until the pop-up is accepted.
Learn more here - https://support.freedompop.com/ap...#downgrade

After downgrading to our free basic plan, a $0.01 charge can be applied, please refer to our Service Plans Terms agreement [freedompop.com] under "Active and Suspended Broadband and Phone Service".

What network does FreedomPop use?
All our 4G LTE GSM Sim Deals work off a TOP US GSM Provider to provide our users with Nationwide 4G LTE. If you aren't sure or want to know more, feel free to PM us.

Do I need to activate it?
It will arrive already activated to your account. You will just need to setup the APN and download our APP. Please follow the instructions on the package the sim card came in.

Will I be able to keep my current FreedomPop number?
Yes! With this upgraded LTE SIM account you will first need to choose a new number and if desired to transfer over your number on an active FreedomPop account please contact us here for Admin assistance via PM or visit our Community Forums with your transfer requests.

Will I be able to port in my phone number from another carrier?
Yes! You will first need to choose a new number and if desired to port in a phone number from another carrier please refer to the following support article: https://support.freedompop.com/ap...e%20number
Please Note: There is a $9.99 fee to port in a number.

Why was I charged $0.01?
We strive to offer a low cost mobile phone alternative to larger carriers. After downgrading to our free basic plan, a $0.01 charge can be applied, please refer to our Service Plans Terms agreement [freedompop.com] under "Active and Suspended Broadband and Phone Service".

How do I earn extra data? (Freedom Friends)

You can earn additional free data each month by connecting with friends on FreedomPop! You'll earn 50MB of additional data for every friend that joins our service per month, up to a maximum of 500 MBs per month. Both your account and your friends account must be active. If either account is dormant, sharing data will not work.

You can also share data between friend accounts (a maximum of 500 MBs, and 100 MBs with each friend). The account sharing data must be an active one. If the account is inactive it cannot share data with any friends and data cannot be requested of that account.

Please Note: If you have already received 500MBs of data -- either from the automatic Freedom Friends function that gives you 50MBs per friend or from data that has been shared with you -- you will not be able to accumulate more data from Friends. Please refer to the following support article for more information regarding Freedom Friends: https://support.freedompop.com/ap...86/kw/data

Have an Account or Billing Issue?
We encourage all our users to come to us first to see if we can explain any charge or resolve any billing issue before further escalation.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by logging into your account with your email and password. If you have multiple Phone, SIMs or Hotspots under the same email account, make sure you are logged into the correct device that you want to cancel. SUMMARY

Be sure to read everything and know what you're doing before you sign up.

If you sign up for this offer, you are signing up for a PAID service, which includes a $24.99 per month plan and a $7.99 per month service, which is $32.98 total. You also get a free one month trial, so all you pay for in the beginning is the $.01 sim, but after a month your free trial runs out and you will automatically be billed for the first month of the plan and the service. The free trial starts when the sim ships, not when you get it. If you don't do anything after you order, in a month you will get billed.

The PAID plan and service that you are signing up for gives you unlimited talk, unlimited text, and 2gb of LTE data every month. Again, this is what you are signing up for, and it starts automatically after the 30 day free trial is over and you get billed automatically.

If you don't want to pay for the PAID service, and you want to switch to the free plan, you need to downgrade your plan and service before the 30 day trial is over. You need to downgrade both. The downgrade process is a little complicated, but there are several guides on how to do it. Here is one guide:
How to Downgrade to the Free Plan [cranialborborygmus.com]

The free plan gives you 200 minutes, 500 texts, and 200mb of data per month. You can get 500mb more data (700mb total) by adding ten freedompop friends. You can use this slickdeals thread to get friends:
https://slickdeals.net/f/5276432-freedompop-friends

FreedomPop talk and text is via a VOIP phone number, so you must use the FreedomPop app to get the talk and text. It is not a traditional phone number. If you just want to use the data, you don't need to install the app, but you do need to set your phone's APN.

What new or different about this offer?
FreedomPop has made some recent changes that past and current customers may not be aware of.

1) You must pay for a $10 credit to be able to downgrade to the free plan. If you don't want to pay the $10, you can cancel your account, or not sign up in the first place. Yes, the cost to get to the free plan is $10.01, not $.01. But after you pay for the $10 credit, you can also turn off AUTO-TOP-UP, which means you can use the full 700mb of data without triggering a auto-top-up charge. You can also use the $10 credit to pay for data if you go over the 700mb limit. You should probably find and read a guide on how Auto Top Up works, and what happens if you leave it on or turn it off, as well as what happens with credits on your account.

2) In March, 2017, FreedomPop updated it's terms and conditions to allow charging inactive accounts a monthly $.01 "maintenance fee". Some people report that they get these now infamous "penny charges" even when they are using their accounts. Other people never get them at all. But be prepared that you might pay as much as a penny per month per device (sim). If you don't like the penny charges, you can cancel your account, or not sign up in the first place.

3) FreedomPop used to allow people to get a 500mb bonus from friends and another 500mb bonus from sharing between accounts (1000mb total bonus possible). Now the total bonus is limited to 500mb, so if you have ten friends, you get the max bonus of 500mb and you can't get any more from sharing. Still, with the LTE sim on the free plan you can get 200mb + 500mb = 700mb of free LTE data every month if you add ten friends to your account.

4) The LTE sim provides 3G/4G/LTE cellular data from one of the top four US carriers that starts with an "A" and ends with a "T", and is not Verizon, not Sprint, and not T-Mobile. Apparently, FreedomPop is not allowed to disclose the name of the carrier. If you can't figure it out, you probably shouldn't be signing up for this offer.

5) Do your research and make sure you know what you're doing. There is a good guide to the FreedomPop LTE sim here:
FreedomPop for Dummies guide [cranialborborygmus.com]

* You have to downgrade the plan AND the service if you want free service.
* You now have to pay for a $10 credit to switch to the free plan, but this credit allows you to also turn off the data AutoTopUp feature which can be a good thing.
* If you use your account, you shouldn't get charged the infamous occasional penny charges, but you might, so understand that your "free" service might actually cost you a couple of cents per year.

Also read through this thread and other threads about FreedomPop. You will find many happy customers who have figured out what to do and are enjoying the free service. You'll also find many negative reviews. Judge for yourself whether FreedomPop is right for you and worth the "hassle".

NOTE: (From fantastic84): Not sure if this is mentioned already but good info... Any LTE Sim card not used (no activity) within 30 days you'll have Freedom Friends "Bonus" (500 mb) Removed from your balance for the following month... You'll only receive (200mb) allotment for the next month. So, don't go thinking you can order a bunch of these sim cards & there will be 700mb ready to go anytime you want to use it. Basically, as the old saying goes "if you don't use it, you lose it" ha ha
If there is any useage on your account after you lose the FF Bonus it should give you back your FF Bonus the following billing cycle. Otherwise, You'll have to contact FP to re-instate the FF Bonus.

That does seem odd, can you please confirm if you are attempting to use prepaid cards? If so, we do not accept that form of payment.

Try a different IP and mailing address if possible. They blocked my IP and/or address for awhile. No idea why. Haven't bought from them in a few month, but atleast a few months ago they did accept prepaid cards
