One reviewer posted a video of turning on/off the lamp. One end of the lamp (the power button end) is resting up on their mouse-pad in such a way that when the power button is pressed, the opposite end rises upward... almost like there's no weight to this lamp. I don't know if this makes any sense, but the way it moves in the video (teetering on the mouse-pad) just makes it look flimsy to me. If I'm reaching to turn on a lamp in the dark, I'd want the lamp to stay put while I felt around for the power button. I can see this lamp falling to the floor (in the dark) on a regular basis.
