Ultra Premium Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card - Available January 18, 2018

Hilton is entering into an exclusive credit card agreement with American Express as of January 2018. The annual fee is $450 but it comes with a lot of benefits, including Diamond status, that should offset the fee. If you're a frequent Hilton traveler, this might not be a bad option.

The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card ($450 annual fee)

The new $450 annual fee Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card will offer 14x Honors points per dollar spent with Hilton, an annual complimentary weekend night, a $250 annual airline fee statement credit, a Priority Pass membership, and Honors Diamond status for as long as you have the card. That's insanely generous. I would have been happy with top tier status for $450 per year, but when you add in a statement credit, annual free weekend night, and more, that really adds up.

Here are the full marketing bullets for the new card:
•14X Hilton Honors Bonus Points at hotels and resorts in the Hilton portfolio worldwide
•7X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on flights booked directly with airlines or amextravel.com, car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies and at U.S. restaurants
•3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on other purchases
•Complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond status
•One Weekend Night Reward at a hotel or resort in the Hilton portfolio with your new Card and each year of Card Membership
•A second Weekend Night Reward at a hotel or resort in the Hilton portfolio after spending $60,000 in purchases on the Card in a calendar year
•Unlimited Priority Pass™Lounge passes to ease the airport experience
•$250 Airline incidental fee statement credit
•$250 Hilton resort statement credit
•$100 on-property credit at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts when booking the exclusive Aspire Card package
•Access to 24/7 American Express concierge
•No foreign transaction fees
•$450 annual fee

Looks like heck of a lot of benefits. My question is how much does 1 Hilton Honors point translate into? So is it 1 Point = 1 Cent?

The answer is it depends. You can get some redemption at 3-4 cpp. Or u can get the .5 ccp redemptions.

One Mile at a Time values them at .4 cents per $1. However, with some of the higher end hotels it can be close to 1:1.

If you've already had the Hilton Surpass, you cannot get a bonus on this card (as this will be considered the same product).

I don't think it comes with a bonus based on the listing of benefits. I really like the option to upgrade to Diamond status.

Value of Diamond can be hugely YMMV depending what properties you stay at...

Priority pass, who doesn't already have this (often with better terms) on like 3 other cards anymore?

the 3x and 7x bonus categories are also pretty crap unless you routinely get WAY above average value out of your Hilton points.

The airline credit- if it works like the Amex Gold/Plat ones, will be ok at least since you can usually use it for airline gift cards... if it's more like the BoA one where you can't use it for anything except crap like checked bags or early check in, not so much.

The second weekend night thing is worthless as nobody is gonna put 60k of normal spend on this card in a year unless they're using it as a business card and have a TON of employees staying at Hiltons all the time.

The resort credit is rumored to be applicable to the actual hotel room charge, which would make it pretty worthwhile, though it's per member year not calendar year, so you can't double-dip it easily like the airline credit.

So basically it's decently profitable first year if the airline credit is useful

If it's worth keeping after that will be a ton more YMMV depending on your personal use of Hiltons (Diamond can be very valuable to some folk, near worthless to others, for example)

You can check at www.prioritypass.com. I believe they charge $27 per guest per visit.

Priority pass is useful when you travel abroad. Not so much in US.
