UPDATE: Here is the advertised deal, now on the Costco website: LINK [membershipwireless.com] (thank you Single_Flyer)

T-Mobile is running a BOGO free deal on the Samsung Note 8. So I went into Costco to investigate what they have to offer. Costco currently has a promotion that stacks on top of the BOGO free deal. They are offering a $130 Costco gift card with the purchase of a Samsung Note 8. When combined, it makes this deal sweet! It should be noted that in the store, they are selling the Note 8 for $899.99.

Here's the math:
Note 8: $899.99
Note 8: $899.99
Total: $1,799.98 (+ tax)

T-Mobile's BOGO free rebate: -$899.99
Costco gift card: -$130
Costco gift card: -$130
Total effective discounts: $1,159.99

Total price for two Samsung Note 8's after discount and gift cards: Effectively $639.99, or $320 per phone (+ tax).

Some things to know about this deal:
- Costco is selling the Note 8 for $899.99 (not the normal price of $820 you commonly find).
- The paperwork clearly shows a rebate of $899.99 for one of the phones (also not the normal price of $820 you commonly find) (see attached photo).
- The phones must be purchased in full (no payment plans)
- One of the phones must activate a new line on a T-Mobile or Simple Choice Unlimited plan.
- I did not have to buy a SIM for this. Costco includes it in their price.
- Offer valid from 11/17/17 - 11/22/17.
- The $130 Costco gift card applies ONLY to the Samsung Note 8. No other phones have this deal. But in this deal, you get two of them!

To take advantage of this deal, you will need to go in to the store and make your purchase at the mobile phone kiosk. This deal will not work online.

Common questions:
Q) Can I cancel a line and add another line to get this offer?

A) No. If you do not need the new line, wait until you get all rebates, then cancel the line.

Q) Do I have to be Costco member?
A) Generally yes. Sales rep at the kiosk was adamant that account holder must be a Costco member (YMMV). Costco membership is fully refundable, get the membership and return it after you get Costco rebate card if you really don't want the membership.

Q) Does the T-Mobile BOGO stack with the Costco $260($130+$130)?
A) Yes, see attached rebate forms.

Numbers ported out of T-Mobile within 90 days, do not count as a new number if it is ported back into T-Mobile. (in case someone ported out a number recently for some other company's deal and is trying to port back in). It goes same for ANY T-mobile MVNO numbers as well. (this prevents port out and port back in as new line)

Promotional Window: November 17 - TBA
You must meet all these requirements during the promotional window:

Make sure you abide by all rules exactly how its written down in your contract! If the employee tells you something thats not written down just remember, this company is not owned by costco, they are individually owned which means if you are lied to, or you dont get the cash card costco is not there to help and this deal just turned extremly sour for you since you just piad $160 more on the retail price of both phones.

Also do not cancel your extra phone lines before you get the cash cards, doing so will make you loose out on them. There are lots of complaints against this company for lieing, reciving extremly late/never reciving cash card offers ect...Make your best judgement when deciding to do this offer and read the reviews because if your opening a new line you dont need for this offer and your cards are late or dont show up the extra line costs could put you in the negative fast.

I'm not sure where the $700 is coming from, but T-mobile is an $820 rebate. However, as other SDers can confirm, as well as the Costco rep, Costco has their own deals with T-mobile. The paperwork that I posted a picture of confirms this. The rebate is clearly marked at $899.99.

I'm in southern California (Burbank)

Thanks for the post. I actually called one of the Costco in San Jose, CA today, they said there is only the BOGO (i.e. the 899 rebate) but there is no costco $130 gift card to go with it...

Could this be only for some costco but not all?

It would definitely be a "one person having to take one for the team" in this situation as long as 1.none of those lines are promotional "lines on us" or something similar (I have 6 lines, 2 are free, but if I were to close one of them or one of my initial lines, I would lose the credit for the two free lines) and 2. There isn't something deep in the fine print that states "between one line closing and next one opening x time has to go by".

I have never dealt with the latter, but hopefully someone here can chime in. Good luck, hope it works out for you because it's a pretty dope deal.
