The slim version is also on sale for $309. The slim only takes m.2 ssd drives while the tall will handle 2.5" ssd. I have the slim version and it's fantastic!

Do you have to install a HD In this? Or just the optane? I'm looking to replace the giant tower I'm currently using as an HTPC, so I just want something that will still do my plex streams in 7.1... this looks like it might fit the bill!
