This is actually a solid shoe...I have the waterproof version and enjoy it.

edit: I use mine for disc golf if that helps anybody. actually has a really good outsole, which is an issue with the wear and tear disc golf puts on shoes.

I have these shoes for a year now. I use it mainly for hiking. I did use it for a tough mudder and it held up very well. Good grip but the shoelace comes lose every no and then. I wear a size 9 and I had to buy a 8.5.

Got these direct from Adidas, love the fit, but I wouldn't consider these a great 'hiker'. Also, the fabric squeaks more than it should, even with trying different socks and tightening laces. Overall $35 is worth it though.

for those asking about fit, amazon has a fit as expected feature built in. 73% said this fit as expected (over 1,000 votes), but a decent amount more said that they were too large rather than too small.

i'd order my size, but you might consider ordering a size smaller if you're worried about it.
