The only store that sells that model is Best Buy and it's $500. Hardly worth $75 more for a measly 32GB of additional storage. Buy a microSD card and leave it in the SD reader instead.

Not that good for me. I'm going to run Linux along with Chrome for when there's no Android app for what's needed. So $75 for double the storage becomes OK.
But at that point the Asus Flip also becomes a better buy for $430. I'm just having the SD effect of not wanting to buy the Flip because he discount is not that good.

So I keep waiting for more meat on my bait...
Look at Termux, Linux chroot inside an Android app. Let's you run Linux while keeping the security benefits of chrome
hey can you only use this $25 masterpass promo once?
I'm getting:

when trying to buy this chromebook after just using the promo on another purchase.
I ordered the plus from b&h. No tax in Cali. From what I've read, even the pro is much faster, the plus does better with Android apps because the Intel processor causes problems for some apps.
Which one would be better to get? I'd really just be using it for day-to-day browsing, word processing, and the occasional photo edit.
I own the Plus, not the Pro, and it is very quick, not sluggish. Also runs Android apps very well. It should be fine, as long as you know the word proccessing and photo editing apps you want are available it Chrome, it won't do Word (except online Office 365) and won't do Photoshop.
I love my Plus, the best Chromebook I have ever used, and I have owned and used many.
I am not a gamer, just use it for the kinds of thinks you mention, plus Spotify, Netflix, Prime Video. Its perfect for all that.
