I think i will need this coz apple watch doesnt support amazon music nor spotify
Not going to lie. I started using apple music yesterday w/ the groupon 4 month membership and I prefer amazon music's interface a lot more. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet, but I spent a lot of time trying to do what I wanted it to do.
Regular 1 year price is $99. Wouldn't be better to purchase a $100 Itunes gc for $85 instead of buying this?
It would be if you could use the iTunes gift cards to buy this gift card. Otherwise, this is a better deal. This is why.... If you buy the $100 iTunes gift card for $85.00 (equals 15% savings) but you have to pay the regular $9.99 a month price so you are paying $120 a year for Apple Music. If you buy the $89.99 card it is good for an entire year of music which comes out to $7.50 a month (equals 25% savings).
*The $89.99 card can only be used for an individual yearly plan. If you are on a family share plan you can not use this deal. Then your best option is the $100 gift card for $85.

I hope this makes sense.
Actually that's incorrect. If you apply a $100 iTunes gift card to your account it will offer you the same $99 for 12-months Apple Music membership (or you can choose to just add the $100 as iTunes credit). YMMV I guess but I get that option every time I have redeemed an iTunes $100 GC.
Edit: and furthermore, once you choose the $99 annual Apple Music option, that becomes your default subscription level and your account (or GC balance) will be billed $99 each your going forward. Thus you can stack the discounted yearly subscription with discounted GCs. It's a nice way to save money--just wish it worked with the family membership!
how good is apple music. I havent met anyone who uses it. I use spotify currently but not a pro at it so to speak. Does apple music basically give you acces to all of itunes music? meaning pretty much every dang song made? lol
I have apple music for a couple months and pretty happy with it. I only listen to mainstream music anyway and it has all of them. Plus point is suprisingly apple music have pretty good collection of my native language music as well. Hit download to library and it will sync flawlessly with your current music on the iphone, and work well with apple watch

I think they changed things since last year when I wanted to take advantage of the lower priced Costco iTunes cards. I called and spoke to a couple of different Apple reps and I even asked at the store if I could use the iTunes gift cards to purchase the discounted yearly rate and I was told no by every Apple rep I asked. So I just bought the yearly card for $99 in the Apple Store.
Also, there is a deal on both Living Social and Groupon for 4 free (instead of the normal 3) months for new subscribers.

That is correct.....every iTunes song.
Ive been using it since it came out. Have a family plan @ $14.99/mo and it integrates with all my Apple products from Apple Watch to Apple TV & iPads.
Have my 2 kids, wife & nice on my plan - they all have their own library synced to their Apple ID, under my plan.
