Acer ET322QK 32" 4K UHD LED Monitor, 3840x2160, 10bit Color, HDR Ready, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, AMD Freesync, Picture-in-Picture

VA Panel, not IPS. But I personally prefer VA over IPS.

This is exactly correct. Most people sit in front of the monitor.... so viewing angle is a nearly moot point.

The BEST IPS panels have a contrast around 1,000:1. ( Do not be fooled by stuff like (1 million to 1 dynamic contrast).)
Many VA panels are over 3,000:1.
Many TN panels are around 1,000:1 as well.

VA panels have slightly better response times than IPS, but not as good as TN.
VA panels have better black levels than IPS, and do not have the dreaded "back light bleed".
VA panels are used in many high end TVs.

For whatever reason, many of the professional level monitors aimed at graphics professionals use the IPS panels though, so they may actually be superior for color accuracy or something.

For me, I'm just looking for entertainment.

For me... I wanted..

4k resolution
10-bit color
fast response time
IPS or VA panel

The Acer has all of that, for a bargain price. 32" is about as big as you can comfortably sit on a desk, as well.

Bought this when it was 341.99 2 weeks ago. Talked with chat but they won't price match because of Black Friday of course. So started an RMA and bought this one.

I was thinking about buying the 32" HP Omen from Costco for $250, but for about the same price (no tax on Newegg vs tax at Costco), I can get full 4k. Any reason to not buy this one, outside of Costco's awesome return policy?

yeah wtf.. i plan to return anyway

how does return process work , do i have to pay to ship it back? the box is HUGE!!
I have already started return and waiting for the LG to arrive, funny this price just dropped. Had they dropped when I bought it last week or price match it I might choose to keep and not order the LG. The inaccurate color can be lived with for a discount Smilie

The monitor is actually pretty decent for a VA panel, but be prepared to live with the narrower view angle if you only experienced IPS before. What kills it to me is the color, there is a strong red tone that I can't get rid of, unless compromised on contract/gamma and make wash out otherwise all color appears weirdly pop up.

If the color doesn't bother you it's quite crips and no light bleeding etc. would be an awesome deal.

Yes but if you care about color accuracy you want an ips panel
