the MPN on this brings up a refurbished model. Don't see "new" anywhere either...
I don't see "new" anywhere either, but i also don't see refurbished when bringing up the MPN. So is this new or refurbished? Regardless, i think this is a great price. Plus I live in California so no taxes and free shipping this is a no brainer
Regular price for the TN panel is usually $599. I just bought this and am worried I just got baited and switched. If refurb I can still accept this price, but not for TN. Searching the model brings up the IPS panel. Searching the MPN brings up the TN.

That one from Best Buy is the TN version ABMIPRZ part no UM.HX1AA.A01
The IPS model is BMIPRZ part no UM.HX1AA.001 but a lot of places have a typo as .010 so it can be ambiguous.

At this price its worth taking the gamble for me. I just bought this literally last night on Acer Recertified for $545 shipped. Now have to cancel that.....

You're right, it is advertised as a bmiprz which is the IPS variant. I really hope this isn't a mis-labeling... taking a gamble as well

The full model number is XB271HU bmiprz. The first part is the base specs (27", HU unit of the XB series.) the second part indicates the panel. For the HU, the models are as follows:

I understand that part. Now search the MPN listed. Hoping just a typo. Also, the regular price listed for this monitor is the same regular price for the TN version.

He told me they (pcrichard & sons) don't sell used products. I don't have buying history with them, so all we can do is wait and see

bmiprz = IPS panel
Abmiprz = TN panel
So this should be an IPS panel.
Acer Link for bmiprz [acer.com], and abmiprz [acer.com] showing the panel type difference.
