This seems to be a decent deal. Not great reviews, but some are complaining of the plug getting rolled over or ice not lasting 5 days. I just need ice for a day and will be careful with the plug. There are so many coolers out, I'm not sure what to compare this with. But a similar Coleman 50qt Extreme 5 ...which looks to be the same, is $45. Not sure if just the color is different being dark blue.

This fits my need as it's not too big and it has a handle.

Good find. Can't be beat for this price. Anyone complaining about ice not lasting long enough most likely was in very hot weather, did not use a high enough ice ratio, or combo of both.

Decent cooler. These usually go for around $30-35 at walmart. I've had one for a while, no problem with the plug or wheels for me. I'd rate it as a 3-4 day cooler depending on use/environment, never had it make it to 5 days though.

For $20, this is an excellent cooler, picking up a second.

I have this cooler, the handle is a little wobbly but it fits great in the back of an SUV when packing with other luggage. Definitely holds ice for a couple of days.

I've used Coleman Extremes in Tennessee in June a number of times, and my ice lasts several days in my jam-packed coolers. On 5-day trips, I take two 50-qt coolers and try not to open one at all the first two days, then transfer stuff over a bit at a time so I'm not opening both constantly. They perform better than by campmates' cheaper Igloos and regular Colemans. Mine are slightly different, bought in 2010 and 2011 maybe, and both holding up well.

For long or hot weather trips, dry ice in the bottom also works. Wrap a slab or two in a towel, then use pre-frozen water bottles on top of that as your other main ice, with everything else on top of those.

Not quiet a Yeti or an Orca or any other animal-inspired grey cooler, but for the regular price these can't be beat. $19 is a steal.

Is the latch on the back the same as their other ones? Where you need to replace if you want the lid to stay up.

For $20 why not ordered one this cooler does have mediocre reviews with the side handles being hard to carry and the back roller latch breaks if it's to heavy but for $20 is a slickdeal on the cooler

Not as sturdy, doesn't seal as well, not as easy to carry, won't keep ice frozen as long. They're much better than the average cheap Igloo, Coleman, or no-name cooler though. If you have hundreds of extra dollars to spend or are venturing off into the African savanna, get a Yeti-level cooler. Otherwise, get a Coleman Extreme and spend the $$$ on something fun or something else for your camping trip.

I saw some tests and reviews of different coolers a while back, and the high-end, high-dollar coolers were actually not that impressive. A Coleman Extreme and an Iglooo Marine Something-something didn't lag that far behind the pack. The fancy ones are all good but not magic. In fact, if you already have a big cooler or two, you're probably better off using a few bucks worth of dry ice for longer trips than investing heavily in new coolers.

Tempted. I picked up the $25 igloo that looks similar to this one and it sucks. Was literally googling adding spray foam to insulate it better before I saw this. Might just pick this one up and keep the igloo as a spare. 🤔
