Found at a few of my local stores. Regular price is $179. Was unable to find online. Model is CB3-131-C3KD. Check weekly ad from link to see if they have it at local store.
Would be a great deal at $40, ok deal at $60-$80, $100 or more for this, now that is a joke.
I'm not sure you understand computers work and how certain components operate differently under different circumstances. 129 is a fantastic deal for this kit.
I picked up the slightly upgraded model from the costco deal (back when it was $175) with the N3150 processor and 4gb ram and I'm loving it so far.
While I wouldn't call this one painfully bad by any standards, people might want to wait and see if they can get a similar deal for the N3150 model again at some point. Mine chugs a little bit here and there on certain webpages and I'd be worried about it being worse on this model.
That said, this one would be a great machine to get a kid for light internet browsing IMO.
Sorry to be "that guy" but the real problem with these cheap laptops and chromebooks is the display. After years of eye strain working on crappy displays like this one at 1366x768, trust me when I say pay more for better resolution and/or use a higher resolution monitor. Your eyes are worth it. This is especially true if you are giving one of these to grandma or junior.

Very valid point. But improving the screen means a device much more expensive. For 1-2 hours homework per day I think its ok.

I snagged the Costco Acer chromebook last month. It has 14" FHD Widescreen IPS LED-backlit (1920 x 1080) Display. I paid $187 with tax and shipping after coupon. If that deal still exists or rolls around again, buy that one. No touch screen but I would trade that for a better display any day. It's worth the cash.

Not saying it's a bad deal, but just want folks to know.
