Prometheus was meh, Covenant I've only seen the first 40 minutes of (plane flight), and thought it was already better than Prometheus. At this price, I'd be buying. But I already own the four original set.

There is actually a project in some level of development that is supposed to do just that. There was even concept art featuring a scarred but alive Hicks and talk of a new actress playing Newt. Unfortunately, it currently seems to be held up somewhere in development hell, but fingers crossed that it can come to fruition in the not-too-distant future.

That project died. The dude who directed District 9 was at the helm of the project and Fox was on board until Ridley Scott killed it.

Damn! And instead we got a completely boring and unoriginal Prometheus sequel. Here's hoping Fox will realize they should have gone the other way and pursue it instead of just burying the whole series for another decade or so. Not holding my breath though...Fox doesn't exactly have the best judgment when it comes to continuation of amazing outer space dramas, do they?

I wonder if the Aliens franchise is one of the things Disney is planning to scoop up. Seems like it would be unlikely, but if they're willing to take Deadpool they just might.

Totally opposite opinion. Thought Premetheus was really good, and Covenant too dark and too predictable.
