I have 4 of these running and this was my first ever Roku purchase and I love the stick+ because it's small, has great speed, long range wifi connection, updated remote with built in power and volume controls for your tv, and supports 4K

Probably the best place to start is to load up the the Roku 2017 PDF with the various Roku Models and see if the Streaming Stick + has what you need.

Also the model charts near the bottom of the Roku Wikipedia - are helpful however this year even the lower models have gotten much faster processors so there really aren't any "slow" Roku's currently being made anymore. That doesn't mean you can't find some stores selling the older slower models though to the chart with the model numbers can be very useful.

This essentially is the regular Roku Streaming Stick's "sale" price which regularly goes for $49.99 but has been on sale a couple times for $39.99
It is the 2nd from the top. There is only one model higher and that is the Roku Ultra. The Ultra happens to be the only BOX left in the line up and has some ports that the Roku Streaming Stick + does not have.
Black Friday from Walmart and BB was $48 but Walmart's version comes with a $5 VUDU Credit, BB's, Target's Amazon's version do not.
Here is the thread Meanieme (I think) is referring to below ~$42.50 but also no $5 Vudu Credit not saying it was a bad deal it appears to have been the best outright price.
