Two years ago I purchased the ASUS C100PA-DB02 (10.1" display) version of this for $243.59 with a much slower CPU. It's a casually used machine which I use for occasional travel and work, but mostly videos.

All-in-all, the C100PA is a good and useful machine, and this newer version with a larger screen and faster CPU looks promising. The presence of USB type C also is a plus, I think. FWIW, the touch screen display works fine, but for me, it's not really used terribly much.

One data point for consideration.

I just bought this new on eBay for $399.99. I LOVE it. This is rated #1 for Chromebooks in Consumer Reports 2018 book that you get when you do a yearly sub.

Bought a couple of these from Amazon Warehouse Deals around Black Friday. Excellent little machine.

If you want it for holidays, looks like might not come in time per their shipping estimates. Making the jump for the Samsung though. Thanks for heads up!

Huh. Amazon was showing out of stock last night, ended up buying an open box locally.

This is a heck of a deal. Awesome system, and the price is great.

Slightly tempted to get this and cancel my 15.6 inch Acer order from Best Buy I did earlier today. However, if you assume the Google Home can be sold for at least 80 dollars at some point, this ends up being 160 dollars more. Also, this is assuming you minus the 50 dollar Amazon gift card and treat it like cash.

Have you seen any updates since? I can see Samsung reps addressing customers in their forums with RMA's, but not sure if this issue has continued or was addressed afterwards.

I actually had trouble and noticed it was due to the type of gift card I added to cart. If I added the default one, it was happy. When I changed the design, it wasn't showing the discount.

Yeah use the gift card that I linked. If you try to add a different one like the black one it won't work. Also make sure the seller of the chromebook is sold by Amazon. I was able to get the $50 discount on the Asus C302

Android Apps are supported on both the C302 and C100PA. Since there are many Android apps that require touch control (many of them won't work with a mouse), the touchscreen is actually quite important... and being a two-in-one makes it even better for running Android Apps in tablet mode.

It seems to be a great product. Intel m3 has a lot of horsepower....
Personally though I have stayed away from ASUS products after the disastrous TF700t from 2012...The tf700t had also great reviews but ASUS really dropped the ball on maintenance and optimization very soon.... It became a $600 brick a lot sooner than it should be...

I have this computer for work. My only complaint is lack of USB a 3.0 ports. Trying to request adapters is a pain but luckily I'm a hoarder and already had some
