Lounge babies 2009 - Reunion thread!

I'd try another brand first,then try going back down to the newborn sizes if they don't fit.

OMG the first Huggies I put on LJ he blew out. I was highly

because they were the right size. We were able to use the rest of the packages without incident. Now Luv's on the other hand LJ's blown through a couple of those and they weren't really large poos. I know Luv's has a leak guarantee. I need to contact the company. I was not too happy that he happened to blow out on his boppy cover and our bed (blanket and sheets). I'd contact Huggies to let them know that she is in her proper size and has been having continual leaking issues. You might just get a freebie coupon from them.

Oh and my boy is getting a little lazy at eating and he nibbles for about 10 minutes then is very disinterested. Well his poos are green...which means he's getting only the foremilk and not the fatty hindmilk. He's still gaining weight so I am not too worried at this point in time. Ugh, Mini was a nibbler too. Which means they always wanna eat. Gotta rope this boy in!

Fingers crossed... I've been having contractions (I think) for the past two hours. Pretty mild but starting in my back and then turning into cramps every 10-20 minutes. We'll see if it turns into anything, or just tapers off.

Well, I'm still at home and unsure really what's going on. The mild contractions went on for about 4 hours every 10-15 minutes or so. I was able to nap for a bit. When I woke up they had become a little more uncomfortable (nothing that I couldn't talk through or even would wince during or anything but definitley more intense) and were between 5-8 minutes apart for a few hours. I managed to fall back asleep and now this morning they are back to more mild.

I was really hoping to end up at the hopsital last night but I guess not

DBF packed up most of his stuff and left. He said that he made a mistake by moving in with me and wasn't ready to take on the responsibility of being with me and my 2 other kids. I'm not sure how to pick myself up at this point. I'm all alone at home and scared that I'll go into labor at home with no one here. I'm scared to live my life without him. I've been planning on just him and I in the labor room together when I give birth, now he's not going to be there and I'm going to be so upset. I don't even wanna name her Lillian anymore because it was after him and I just don't know how i'm going to look at her and call her Lillian and remember how I came up with the name,remember the times he talked to her and told her how happy he was she was coming etc. I hate the thought of going every single day missing him and every night wanting to hold him and touch him but I can't because he's gone. I really wonder how I'm going to get through this pregnancy and at home with a newborn without him.

I don't remember but I think he isn't the father of the baby, right?

You CAN and WILL do it alone. What other option do you have? It sucks right now but you'll get through it and you'll handle being a mother to one more child. In all honesty, I found raising my last child alone was so much easier than when I was married. You'll find your routine and you'll survive.

You're in the liquid poo phase, so it doesn't take much for it to squirt up that tiney hiney butt crack and up the back of the onesie.

There's not much you can do short of taping the diaper to her body. Changing might help, but consider the physics... baby sends out massive amounts of runny poop while lying on the back. The poop has to find a place to go, right?

Speaking of which, LJ woke at 5 this morning and needed a changing so I asked DH. He gladly accepted the task at hand...until I hear, "Oh SHIT!!" from the baby's room. I guess LJ decided to pee all over DH then, when DH thought he had that under control and lifted his legs to slide the new dipe under his tush, LJ blasted him with poo.

Bargoon, is she leaking at the legs or the back? Make sure you have the back up nice and high...this will also ensure the legs are tight.

BTW, last night was the best sleeping evah! LJ slept from 8:30 to 1 to 5 to 7:30 when he woke for the day!

That's why I was asking if it was normal or not. Both times in the past couple days she was sitting up when it happened, once in her car seat, once in her bouncy chair. It's not just dirty clothes either. Had to pull apart her whole bouncy seat and wash it. Luckily, I got liners for the car seat so I only had to wash that instead of having poop all over the seat itself.

That's an awesome story!

She's leaking out both, it squished up the back, out the legs and around to the front all over her tummy and out the top of the front the one time. I make sure to get the legs worked in between her little thigh rolls up tight against her and the top fastened nice and tight too. On a positive note, she didn't leak today! I was holding her as she pooped, though, so I got her changed right away and she wasn't really putting any weight on the diaper sitting in it.

I know this isn't what you had planned, though. Maybe he just had a temporary freak out and he'll be back. Even if he doesn't, you're going to have another baby. Once she's in your arms, you'll feel better.

I'm dying. I feel like shit today. I'm exhausted from not being able to sleep last night, Having back pains and contractions. I just wanna go home and lay down but I can't because I'm turning in my inventory today. After today I can go on maternity leave with no issues,thank god

We get the bottom lip pout too. My mom used to always tell us when we were pouting that a "bird's gonna poop on your lip." I tell LJ that and my husband looks at me like I am

Any word from Redwing? She was due yesterday...my bday

My bday present from LJ was good naps. My bday present from Mini was a kiss and hug before she boarded her flight.

Unfortunately I think this is a very common problem. lil B leaks often. It does have a lot to do with how they are sitting or laying when the poop happens. We have used Huggies, Luvs, and Pampers and all have leaked. One thing that helps a little bit is making sure the leg ruffles are not folded in and tight and I fold that very top of the back of the diaper over towards his back. There seems to be less leakage if it's tummy time when the poop happens. If he was sitting in the Bumbo, oh boy, that thing channels the poop straight up his back! Baby poop is just so runny, I keep a close eye on him when it's been awhile and if I get him changed right away we have minimal leakage. He hates poopy diapers so he lets us know right away and that helps.
