I purchased this exact monitor for the same price and I really like it. It's a little bit darker than I'd like, when you brighten it up too much things get a little washed out but overall for $200 for a 27" 4k monitor I really like it. I got a 32" 4k monitor from a previous deal and that thing was way too big for my desk, so I wanted a smaller one. Really happy with this one. Don't expect $1000 performance, but this is a solid monitor that will last me a long time hopefully.

You are absolutely correct about this monitor. This is mainly targeted for gaming, not for professional work and for that purpose, you cannot really complain at this price. However, if you be patience and do a little color calibration then the colors improves a bit.

I'm thinking about putting one in my kitchen on the back counter. Are the speakers adequate to listen to news or a tv show? I would not normally use built-in speakers and but, for this application, I think I might as long as they don't sound horrible.

Yea, I own 2 of these, speakers are like most monitors speakers, good but not great.
For you, they'd be fine. But for a gamer, music enthusiast, not so much

Could you please tell me if you mounted them with their VESA? I heard that there is a little piece that sticks out that prevents you from using it with a flat vesa plate.
