- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:
Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

- drink soda

- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road

- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers
- become the vending machine stocker

Yeah...that's the thing. I don't consider that a Sweet 16 bracket buster because there is little chance they will win again. Though it would be great for anyone who has all but the 4th seed.
I was looking for upsets in the 6-11, 7-10 type games, or upsets in two games where both upsets would face each other over the weekend. Like a 13 and a 12 seed both winning in a region, which has happened before, guaranteeing at least a 12 seed in the Sweet 16. This DOES guarantee that a #5 or worse will be part of the Sweet 16 in the South...but that is not too big a deal.
This upset doesn't bode too well for people who were hoping for a South 1 to get them the win though.
The whole rewards system is messed up too. Haven't tried in a few days, but every Bracket Refresh IW or sweepstakes I entered I'd get one or two of each.

Ummm..yes it is. It is exactly how it works. I never said that the #16 would become the new #1. But that is not the only way that this hurts someone who has only a #1 in the south. If you have a 1 in a region, but not the 4th, then you want the 4th seed to be a bad team, like a 10 or 11. That way, your #1 team has a better chance of at least making the final 4 and having a chance to win. If you have a #4 team in a region, but not the #1, then you would want no upsets in that region since having the actual #4 seed is a hell of a lot better than having the #11 seed. It isn't about the #1 being eliminate. It is about the the team you have having the easiest road to the Finals. And a #1 team (actual brackets) is the only position that you KNOW where it would be reseeded by Coke.
And if you have a 1 and 2 seed but not the 3 and 4 (as I do in 2 regions) then ideally, you want the #1 and #2 seeds in that region to advance, while the #3 and #4 seeds get upset so the reseeds would be, say, #1, #2 (your teams) and say, #14 and a #12 (which you won't have) That way, with the reseeds, 1 would actually be playing 3 while 2 plays 4. But in reality, 1 is playing 12 and 2 is playing 14 so that it is much more likely that the 1 or 2 team will win and that one of your teams will come out of that region. So a guaranteed Wendy's and a shot at the Visa gift card.
And obviously, once you get to the final 4, you want the reseeds that you have to be the best possible team so they have a better chance of winning their Final Four game. No one wants a 6 or worse to come out of a region, even if you have all 4 seeds for that region. Unless it's UConn or Wichita State, of course. But UConn didn't even make it and Wichita State is already gone. And on the flip side, if you have all the seeds in the West, then you WOULD want a lot of upsets in the South so that the final 4 matchup would be something like #1 West versus #7 South.
