- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:
Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

- drink soda

- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road
- referring a friend on the site
- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers
- become the vending machine stocker

i always thought i had to add the gift card in order to see the gift card balance.

The rewards page is not showing them but also not stating "no rewards". I also went into the history and none of the wins are showing as wins.
All three rewards were confirmed with emails. The gamestop with a link and code but i never redeemed the pops yet. Hopefully will be fixed on Monday.
Issue #2 some Gamestop gift cards being won from the summer iwg are either not activated, I doubt coke/gamestop is voiding them that fast for illegitimate wins. see screenshot pic this is what I got when I went to Gamestop today to use some I traded for. if you can verify the balance when you go to the link that's a good sign its working, if you can't verify the balance and it gives you an error saying "We were unable to retrieve your current balance" that's more than likely a gift card that won't work when you try to use it.
Issue #3 $25 Stubhub gift cards from the summer promo still don't work when you try to add it to your account, anyone have an update from emailing coke?

But I can see why someone would drink them all. Especially someone who was given them as a gift. Not everybody wants things taking up space in their house or apartment that doesn't have intrinsic value. So to them, getting to enjoy the soda as well as getting rid of "garbage" when they are done is worth more than saving a full Coke bottle with their name on it.

The other thing is what people DID with baseball cards. I saved mine. But they would still be worthless simple because they are in terrible condition. No, I didn't put them in the spokes of my bicycle. But we did "flip" them as well as what we called "scaling" which was to throw them to try to cover up one already on the floor and the winner got all the ones of the floor. Except...and here is the part that would make collectors cringe...it had to hit a wall first. So our corners were all banged up. (Granted, we didn't do this with good players anyway since we didn't want to lose them.)
Oh, and then there was what we used to do when we simply didn't want them anymore. We'd go into the middle of a bunch of people at recess, scream "CHUCK UP!" at the top of our lungs, and just throw the entire stack of cards straight up into the air and watch people stampede over each other for them as they fluttered down.
With "collectibles" like these bottles, you can still get some value in things marketed as collectible. But only if they are limited release. But even then, it doesn't guarantee an increase in value. They could only release 1 of something, and if no one wants it, it will not increase in value. And usually, those limited release collectibles are already so overpriced that it takes a long time for the Collectibles market to catch up to what you paid for it direct from the company.
But either way, with these Coke bottles, it is just a matter of personal preference. If you like them full, then save them. 8 ounces of Coke is not worth losing that to you. But don't expect others to necessarily share your preference.
I suppose one way these could be collectible is if someone manages to slip by a name/word/phrase that later got banned. Then maybe people would want it in the future.
Also the iTunes that I have won in the Sumemr IWG are working fine. For those making a choice between iTunes and Gamestop.
